Joyce Loo’s inclination with clay was from 1997 and she began her full time creative career since 2007 as to pursuit her passion in arts. Her artworks displayed her strong affinity to nature and earth, where she creates clay sculptural forms inspired from flora and fauna. Her works are with visual harmony on colours, textures and a composition of her sensibilities towards nature.
Most of Joyce’s Artworks are created from a potter’s wheel. She loves to change the shape to her desired form while the clay is still in leather hard condition. She also likes to experiment with various kinds of glazes that give a unique effect and enhance her artworks.
Joyce was represented in several local and international exhibitions such as in Japan (2005), Turkey (2008), Korea (2012), New York (2014) , Taiwan (2015), China(2016) and India(2018)
Her 1st solo exhibition “My Eden” was held at the Fort Canning Park in 2010 and 2nd solo exhibition “Embrace” at Viridian Art House in 2013.
