unipro is a 130 m² real estate company set in ho chi minh city, vietnam, however, their office is very different from what people imagine about the design of most real estate office spaces today. the unique idea of making that difference comes from a very young interior design team — red 5 studio. besides, an important factor that has lead to this achievement is the owner accepting and believing in a young architecture firm’s new ideas.

the investor wants an efficient working environment; more importantly, however, is that their staff can relax and customers can change their perception of real estate agencies. vietnamese based team red 5 studio has a proposal of creating an office space similar to a residential area by the beach, which helps bring about the feeling of a resort with sand courts, lawns and so forth. during the discussion between the design team and the investor, everything was curtailed to balance the creative design ideas and practical views. sand courts and lawns from the office door to the inside are the wooden floor in accordance with a particular color sequence. the ceiling style established as resting huts by the beach are made of wooden frames with roof shapes.

once the construction has been completed, a relaxing and coastal office appears. cement patterns on the wall shape the coastal line and the wooden details have been treated to have a graze and plain look. the overall look has bright and gentle colors. the staff working place consists of round tables instead of fixed squares, which helps them feel comfortable and flexible as everyday they may opt for new seats with the feeling of working with a laptop in a cafeteria and not in an office. everyone in unipro seem to employ a mutual space, the natural light and an extraordinary city view.

the ceiling is open to ‘show off’ the whole technical system of the building and is only painted white to seem more spacious and maintain the overall gentleness. with such an office space like that, perhaps the pressure at work of the employee is somewhat relieved and all activities become more gentle and exciting. with unipro partners, visiting this office also brings them a little happiness like stopping at an interesting cafe.
