Hospitality Design (HD) magazine has revealed the finalists for the 18th annual HD Awards, honoring the best in design across 27 project categories and 13 product categories. Lauded as the most prestigious awards for the hospitality industry, the yearly event recognizes the best and most innovative achievements in design from around the globe, as well as the creative teams behind them.

From more than 800 project and 360 product submissions, HD will announce the winners live during a ceremony on Tuesday, June 7th at Cipriani South Street in New York. To purchase tickets for the ceremony, click here. HD will also recognize Sharan Pasricha of Ennismore and KTGY Simeone Deary Design Group as Hotelier and Design Firm of the Year, respectively.
For the fourth year in a row, HD again partnered with West Elm on the HD/West Elm Student Product Design Competition. The $5,000 prize will be awarded to the student and recent graduate whose upholstered occasional chair design stood out among the competition. The Hospitality Diversity Action Council (HDAC) will also honor exemplary work in hospitality aiming to advance the industry through the promotion of diversity, inclusion, and equity for the second consecutive year with the Awards of Excellence.
A highly esteemed panel of industry professionals selected this year’s winners and finalists. Project judges included Asiya Chowdhury, vice president, Ian Schrager Company; Thom Geshay, CEO + president, Davidson Hospitality Group; Scott Hammons, vice president of design and construction, DiamondRock Hospitality; Dionne Jefferson, vice president of global design, U.S. and Canada, Marriott; Ari Kastrati, chief hospitality officer, MGM Resorts International; Lisa McClung, senior director of interior design, IHG Capital Investment and Transactions; Larry Traxler, senior vice president of global design, Hilton; and Kia Weatherspoon, president, Determined by Design. Products were judged by Angela Clarke, vice president of global design procurement, Marriott; Stefano Giussani, CEO, Lissoni New York; and Helen Jorgensen, vice president of design + procurement, Host Hotels & Resorts.
