HBA/Hirsch Bedner Associates has unveiled its design for the Sound Hotel Seattle Belltown, Tapestry Collection by Hilton. Inspired by the rooted music culture of the city, the 142-room boutique concept spans the first 10 floors of the Arrivé tower, a mixed-use new building in the Belltown neighborhood of Seattle.

Artwork composed of materials like stretched canvases and flat files establish a gallery-like atmosphere in the lobby, which is lined with concrete floors. The operable windows of the adjacent bar and restaurant flank the front of the hotel. The seventh floor is home to a series of meeting spaces, lined with exposed brick textures. A neighboring club-lounge features an intimate bar anchored by a dramatic ceiling design.

Many distinctive sights and sounds of the city provide inspiration for the warm, wood-toned guestrooms, which are conceived to instill an experience akin to a musician taking the stage. Anchored by graphic murals behind the headboards, accommodations also include denim and flannel fabrics as a nod to the Seattle music scene of the 1990s. Darker and moodier bathrooms recall a backstage space, with metal accents, black linear tiles, and microphone lights.
