Moxy Hotels has unveiled its newest outpost housed within historic structure from 1860 in the nation’s capital. The Moxy DC spans 14 stories above the city’s bustling K Street corridor, housing experiential interiors that embrace an industrial-chic vernacular.
Dash Design oversaw the project’s interior development, outfitting the 200-room property with polished concrete floors, exposed concrete columns, and open ceilings. Abundant artwork—including a video installation from Rahul Jhad—injects the lobby with vibrancy, while the laidback, living room-style bar as well as Moxy’s signature, 24-hour grab-and-go concept serve While the library zone provides space for private reflection or work, the Now public space includes extensive gaming options. Spring 2019 will see the arrival of a new F&B space from Baltimore-based Atlas Restaurant Group, joining three distinct venues like the enclosed rooftop bar, a first for DC.
