The LA-based Palihotel brand is expanding further afield, with the opening of its fourth property, this time in Seattle.

Located across from the iconic Pike Place market in a four-storey landmark building – formerly the Colonnade hotel – from 1900, the interior of the Palihotel Seattle is an eclectic mix of furnishings and objects that’s in keeping with the brand’s eccentric style.

The deep moss-green lobby, for instance, with its original timber ceiling beams, is outfitted with cosy leather sofas, tree trunk tables, vintage suitcases and shelves filled with potted plants, local artwork and an assortment of books, their bindings facing the shelves. The colour scheme continues to each of the 96 guestrooms, which feature floral headboards, Smeg mini fridges, plaid desk chairs and postcard-worthy views of the Elliott Bay Waterfront.

This hotel also marks the second location of the popular southern influenced Los Angeles eatery, The Hart and the Hunter. Here, chef Joey Elenterio’s signature butter biscuits are a must on a rainy Seattle day, while, exclusive to this location, is the sweet and spicy Salmon Jerky and the Elliott Bay Gibson, made with oyster shell infused Plymouth Gin.

Alternatively, sip on a cup of Anchorhead roast at the custom coffee counter, with street window service, to ward off the Pacific Northwest chill. §
